Elvira MalishevskayaSome words about myself...My name is Elvira Malishevskaya. I am a professional choreographer. I‘ve been engaged in the Argentina tango for a long time. Some years ago my friends and I organized the first club in Saint Petersburg of the Argentina tango " Tango Argentino ", which exists until now. I am engaged in dances from the childhood and I’ve been teaching it already for more than 10 years. However, when I have got acquainted in Germany with the Argentina tango in the middle of 90’s, I was charmed with it right away - unique, romantic and simultaneously very sensual dance. It is Oygen Wagner, which was my first teacher and who I’m still am very grateful for it. It’s also Oygen who lead together with me the first seminar on the Argentina tango in Saint Petersburg in 1999. Later I studied the art of the Argentina tango at many very known dancers and teachers. My pupils and I visit regularly various international festivals in Argentina, England, Germany, and certainly in Spain where our school " Edissa " goes this year already for the fourth time. I was lucky to study at such brilliant masters as Pupy, Lorena Ermocidà and Osvaldo Zotto, Nito and Elba, Gloria and Eduardo and many others. First of all as the professional choreographer and the teacher I would like to point out the highest technique and professionalism, which I learned from my friends - Claudia Codega and Esteban Moreno. They have already twice carried out brilliant seminars in our city. The tango is not simply a certain technique. It is attitude. It is a style of success. Person should control each muscle of the body to move in dance easily and relaxed. I am engaged in classical ballet at such masters as, national artist À. À. Sapogov and honored artist G. S. Antonenko till now. I also try to impart love to classical dance to my students. Good choreographic preparation (as for example, Claudia and Esteban have) makes dance really beautiful. Being not only the choreographer, but also the certified trainer (I graduated from The P. F. Lesgaft Academy of physical training in 1996) I manage to quickly get good results from my students. My school "Edissa" is not simply a place where the Argentina tango is learned. It is cheerful and amicable company of successful, vigorous, interesting and communicative people. And my goal is to support this warm and easygoing atmosphere, which has formed at our school during these years. We support close relations with the Moscow club " Casa del tango " and with some foreign schools. We arrange joint seminars, milongas (tango parties) and spend a good time. I’m glad, that many of my students have opened their own schools (" El Abrazo " and "Libertango"), as I wish that as many as possible people plunged into indefinitely fine world of the Argentina tango.
